Fareed is a 48-year-old artist and musician, but that’s just the start. He’s a husband, son, brother, cousin, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and an incredible friend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In December 2025, Fareed was diagnosed with a rare, degenerative liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). The only cure is a liver transplant.

​

But this isn’t just about needing a transplant someday — it’s urgent.

​

In addition to PSC, Fareed has high-grade dysplasia (“Stage 0”) cells throughout his bile ducts. These are pre-cancerous. Every day that passes, the risk of those cells becoming cancer increases. And once that happens, the outcomes are devastating.

​

We are in a race against time to get him a transplant before it's too late.

​

Before his diagnosis, Fareed worked as a mobile lab technician, caring for patients in their homes and residential facilities. He has spent years showing up for people in some of the most vulnerable and isolating moments of their lives, bringing warmth, humour, and real compassion when it mattered most.

 

We are hoping to find a generous, brave and selfless person to show up for Fareed to quite literally save his life.
